The Studio

Our creative studio was conceived to extend Costaiia’s narrative practice beyond it’s core universe. It functions as a platform for continuing the foundational inquiries behind the project: developing artisanal collaborations, treating clothing as a tool for character construction, and building parallel worlds through image and video-based work.

Over the years, Costaiia has evolved into a vessel for visual storytelling and creative collaboration. Through these collaborations, a network of photographers, set designers, stylists, graphic designers, filmmakers, and other creative disciplines has formed around the project. The Creative Studio operates as a production structure that brings these teams together across brands and initiatives, while supporting the development of each projects visual universe + language through focused creative direction.

We believe that spaces can be treated as narrative systems where art direction and design operate as tools for world-building. Drawing from Alexander Girard’s approach to hospitality as immersive environments, the studio develops concepts that transform places into distinct visual and emotional universes. Creative consulting is offered to hospitality projects seeking to expand their storytelling across space, service, and experience. The process spans research and conceptual development, moodboarding, and the curation and direction of multidisciplinary teams responsible for execution, including branding, interior design, and campaign development.

Hospitality

We approach beauty and fashion as extensions of character, narrative, and visual language. The studio develops creative direction that frames graphic design, photography, and video as components of a broader narrative and visual system, where each output contributes to the construction of a cohesive universe rather than functioning as an isolated campaign.

Work spans research, concept development, and visual direction, translating ideas into cohesive systems across photography, film, set design, styling, and art direction. The process includes building and guiding multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency between narrative intent and final execution, from brand identity and campaign imagery to spatial and editorial expressions.

Fashion & Beauty

Events are conceived as temporal environments where narrative, spatial design, and atmosphere converge into a singular experience. The studio develops creative direction that transforms gatherings into structured worlds, where every element contributes to a coherent visual and emotional language.

Work includes concept development, spatial and experiential design, and the orchestration of multidisciplinary teams responsible for execution across set design, lighting, sound, programming, and visual identity. The focus is on building immersive frameworks that extend beyond the event itself, shaping how it is perceived, documented, and remembered.

    Services include research and conceptual development, translating initial ideas into structured narrative and visual frameworks. This extends into moodboarding and the definition of aesthetic and thematic languages that guide execution.

    The studio oversees the development of full visual ecosystems across graphic design, photography, video, spatial design, and campaign production, ensuring consistency between concept and output.

    It also includes the formation and direction of multidisciplinary teams, aligning collaborators across disciplines such as set design, styling, art direction, film production, interior design, and branding depending on the scope of each project.

    Across all formats, the focus is on constructing unified worlds where individual outputs function as part of a larger narrative system.

  • Art direction operates within an already defined conceptual framework. It takes an existing idea, whether developed internally or provided by a client, and translates it into a refined and cohesive visual language.

    The focus is on executional elevation: shaping aesthetics, composition, references, and visual systems across photography, film, design, and spatial elements to ensure consistency, clarity, and visual strength.

    Art direction ensures that the established concept is materialized with precision and coherence across all outputs, reinforcing the intended tone and narrative through its visual execution.

  • Creative production focuses on assembling and executing projects for local or international clients by building and coordinating high-level teams in Mexico. The studio acts as a production partner on the ground, sourcing and managing the right specialists across disciplines to ensure efficient and precise execution.

    The service includes team curation, production planning, casting, location support, and on-site coordination, bridging international creative direction with high execution standards and capabilities.

  • Creative consulting focuses on remote advisory and conceptual development for projects in their early or strategic stages. It provides external perspective on narrative structure, visual direction, and overall creative positioning without involvement in execution or production.

    The service includes research, conceptual framing, and the development of visual and narrative frameworks that guide how a project is shaped and communicated. This can extend to feedback on brand systems, campaign directions, spatial concepts, and cross-disciplinary creative strategies.

    All work is delivered as guidance and direction, intended to strengthen internal teams and align creative output before production begins.
